Their new music studio, which will be called Mama Stone’s will be having its soft opening on Friday. The application for the building to be used as a music venue has been submitted. They are all waiting for approval and when everything goes well, the place should be ready by Friday.

Joss Stone herself is scheduled to perform on September 6. She will also record her new album at the place. Wendy Stone, Joss’s mom, said that tickets will be sold to everybody on their mailing list on Monday. The venue can only accommodate 250 people so tickets will always be limited. The rest of the public may buy their tickets on Tuesday.

It’s really a war between Joss Stone and her record label, EMI. Joss wants to be released from them. And she’s willing to pay 2 million for her freedom. But EMI won’t hear of any of it.

Now, EMI is getting back at Stone for asking such as a thing. They are delaying the release of her album from April to indefinitely. This angered the singer even more and she’s declaring war.

The first stage of the battle is at the O2 arena. Joss Stone plans to sing two of her new songs, which were supposed to be included in her yet-to-be released album. The songs were recorded 2 years ago. Joss Stone says she’s going to sing them anyway because they’re new and she loved them.

Joss’s message to EMI? They picked on the wrong girl.

Joss Stone is one of the stars who agreed to perform on the night of music collaborations for the benefit of charity. The gig will be held at the London 02 Arena and artists like Razorlight, Robert Plant, Tom Jones, and David Gray will be there too.

It’s going to be one hell of a night of music and entertainment. Tickets will be sold starting August 5. Performance night will be September 11. Other artist to join the event are Ronan Keating, Beverley Knight, Gabriella Cilmi, Lulu, Dan Gillespie Sells of The Feeling and Gaz Coombes, and Danny Goffey of Supergrass performing as their side-project The Hot Rats.

The show will be for the benefit of Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy charity.

Not many singers are invited to do a single on another artist’s album. But Joss Stone has lots of them. This only proves the Joss is one of the best selling vocalists today.

Joss Stone is set to record in Motown’s Smokey Robinson in his upcoming album. She’ll do a number for him, along with Carlos Santana, who is also a guest on the same album.

Joss Stone is also featured in the album called “Great American Soulbook”, which contains 12 songs rendered by different artists. This album is composed of vintage songs that are remade by several other singers like Tom Jones, Sam Moore, and Huey Lewis.

The soulful singer is looking to record her new songs at her mom’s club, which renovation is underway. Previously The Hub, Joss Stone’s mother have purchased the edifice and is working on it to make it the new Mama Stone’s music venue.

The opening is set in August and Joss’s band is scheduled to perform there come September. However, as early as now, neighbors are complaining about noise issues that could arise the moment the club gets into full operation.

They have experienced it with The Hub before. And they’re not willing to go through the same ordeal again. They also know about the previous Mama Stone’s music venue having issues with the city police regarding noise.

After acquiring a property in Exeter, Wendy Stone, the mother of Joss Stone, had decided to turn what used to be The Hub into a club called Mama Stone’s. Reports has it that the place is going to be remodeled to become a live music venue.

Joss Stone is currently touring Europe with her band. But she and the rest of the gang is set to come back just in time for the opening of her mother’s new business in Exeter. She will open the festivities for the club. And it is going to be one hell of a grand opening, for sure.
